PARTNERS FOR CULTURALLY COMPETENT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICE DELIVERY TO HISPANICS

The primary goal of the Partners for Culturally Competent Behavioral Health Service Delivery to Hispanics program is to introduce, implement and evaluate the NJMHI’s nationally recognized and disseminated research-based Model Mental Health Program for Hispanics Report Model (click here to download a copy of the report) in order to increase the availability of, access to and the provision of culturally and linguistically appropriate behavioral health care for Hispanics in three New Jersey counties. A secondary goal of the proposed project is to develop a mechanism for the project’s replication in other regions of the state and across the nation in hopes that the estimated millions of Hispanics who may need behavioral health care will be able to access and receive care in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
